Layouts for Val C. Designs, and a freebie, of course!

I hope your internet connection works smoothly and fast today because it's gonna be quite an image-heavy post! :) I've got layouts I made for Val C. Designs as a part of her creative team (which is a truly fabulous group of talented ladies from so many countries) to show you today. And at the end there's a gift for you too!

Let's talk about this one first. Guess who got featured in a GSO again? LOL This page, Do Not Disturb, was mentioned in Mesoscrappy.com as one of the week's gallery standouts. I'm so excited!

This is a re-interpretation/remake of a layout I made last year. Turns out it wasn't easy at all to scraplift yourself. LOL I'm satisfied with the end product, though. I love how the papers in this kit fit the page design so nicely.

Journaling reads:
As time passes, you grow more and more confident and start having little secrets.
I am so proud of your independence but still can't help feeling a little bit lonely sometimes!

These two are from the same series of products, All in Blocks. The first one is from All in Blocks - the Kit. The page has quite a fun history to it so I hope you have time to click on the picture to read the story at the DST gallery. :) The second one is from the All in Blocks - Year. It's a fun one, since I just needed a break from work so badly. ;) Now you can buy both products at once in a bundle at 27% off the price!

This one is from Be Inspired - Daily. I just wanted to keep it simple with hilight (literally..LOL) on my cute boy when he was just a baby sleeping soundly on his Papa.

And now this latest layout for Val's new release this week, List-O-Holic - a beautiful collab between Val C. Designs and EHstudio. It's available at both Zig Zag Scrap and MScraps.

You did it! Give yourself a nice pat on the back now for making it to the freebie. :) Val's Gals have come together to make 4x6" Brag Book pages for this blog train as a gift to you. By the time you've made a complete round of our list of blogs, you should have a nice little coordiated Brag Book for your own use! I use this kit of Val's, Purest, for my BB page.

I also used the same design as the BB page for my own layout!

So I hope you'll all enjoy the BB page. You can click here to download or on the preview below!

You might have come from Tammy's blog. now after you've collected my BB page, your next stop is Ella's blog! If by any chance you get lost along the way, just visit Val's blog to get the full list of the blog train stops and you'll be fine! :) Or if any blog is not ready by the time you get there, please do check back at a later time. Since we are an international team, this can happen due to time difference. We sure don't want you to miss any of our goodies!!!

Enjoy!! (And leave some kind words for all the ladies too please? Thanks!)

A little something from me - a New Year's gift for you :)

First of all, Happy New Year!!! I wish you all the best that 2011 has to offer! I personally don't have any resolutions set for the new year. If I have to make one, though, it'd be to make better choices in time management. Isn't it irritating that the older you are, the faster time seems to fly?

Anyway, I figured that since I've been such a lazy blogger lately, I should at least have something special for you as a New Year's gift. :) Just bear with me a little and go through a few layouts I haven't shown here yet first. (I believe I have about a dozen more but those can wait for now. If I can't manage my own time well, at least I should try to help you manage yours. LOL)

I'll start with this one. Using Kit Jolly Season from Designs by Anita with Follow the Curves template by Studio Basic, the layout was made for an All About Me challenge at MScraps where you're supposed to scrap about Christmas trees and the decorating tradition at your house. Since we're not celebrating Christmas here, I scrapped about this national tradition instead.

I'm totally satisfied with it and proud to be sending this message about the tradition for our wonderful King to the world. The page, Cradle for the King, consequently earned a mention in MScraps' Gallery Standout thread. :)

Journaling reads:
December 5 is the day Thai people get together to light candles as tribute to our beloved King Bhumibol, who has been the country's guiding light throughout his years as the world's longest-reigning monarch. This year, along with a group of friends, we held our own candle lighting ceremony. It was such a beautiful and meaningful moment and we are glad that all the children got to experience it first hand

I made this double page layout as a RAK to my friends Adi and Avner, and their beautiful son, Yarden. The kit, Together -- a collab from Designs by Anita and Three Paper Peonies, is just stunning and I love this picture of Yarden and his apple so much. So my focus was just to keep it as clean and simple as possible and let the photos shine.

I was inspired by this layout, Thanks by Elisa (Zizazzi) who is a real queen of double page layouts, although in the end I changed, moved, removed, added, and tweaked it a lot that it hardly looks like a lift anymore. :D

Here's my double page, Together Forever:

This most recent layout is another RAK/gift I made for my dear friend PaMam and her children Prima and Sinat. The first moment I laid eyes on Anita's new set of CU layered frame templates: Frame It In 03, I knew it would be perfect for this series of pictures. I had so much fun doing the little extraction to make it look like the children are peeking out of the frame. The kit Little Thoughts, also by Anita, is also just right for the whole look!

The layout went on to earn Gallery Standout at MScraps and Oscraps. Woohoo!

Okay now, here's your gift! :) I made this template set out of the double pager Together Forever. I'm hoping to make more DP templates in the future so I named the series "2gether". You can use the templates to make one double page layout, or two individual pages -- it's all up to you. And many thanks to chilli07 for the swirl brush used in the template!

Hope you like your gift and Happy New Year once again!!!
