Something to lift, something to give

Sorry for the disappearing act!! I lost my blogging mojo for a while but life in other aspects goes on as usual. I have so many layouts that I should be showing here but I'm afraid it's going to be later (again.)

Today I'm just gonna blog quickly so that I can go and prepare Neill for his end of semester final exam tomorrow. He's not very happy about that, let me tell ya. LOL! The only thing that keeps him going is the fact that summer break starts right after the exam!

I'm hosting the Scraplift Challenge at Digital Scrap Cafe forum from now to March 13! This time I choose a stunning LO by Jasje for us to lift. It’s called Dream.

The layout is so nice and clean and has an amazing composition that just inspires you to get creative and do fantastic things with it.

Of course I created my version to kick off the challenge. I used a beautiful and delicate new kit by Sabrina's Creations My Little One for it.

So, let your imagination free and have fun scraplifting Jasje's great page!! Great prizes are waiting too. The winner will get $4 coupon to Sabrina’s store. All participants will earn 5 digibytes each, plus one extra if using DSC stuff!

Let's go to the Scraplift Challenge thread and scrap away!

Now, something to give.

In January I made this page (called 50 per cent) to document a personal difficult situation. Before I started, I had a clear picture of it in my head and I knew exactly which kit I was going to use. I didn't have a suitable photo for it though, so I went and took one. I came back with the memory card and started scrapping, then finished the page in just about an hour -- which is much less than what I usually do. It tells exactly how I felt at that time.

Well, in short, I made a template out of the page. I don't know if anyone else would like it too, as this is not a stunning or meticulously crafted layout in a conventional way. But I don't recall having seen free templates with a light source and many different layers of lights and shadows before. So I'm hoping it's different and interesting enough to some who might like stranger things. LOL!

I call this template Dazed and Confused, to reflect my mood when I created the page. If you think it can be useful to you, be my guest. Click on the preview image or here to download. Please consider leaving some comments too if you like it. Thanks!!
